Contract Bookkeeper

Garcoa, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Contract Bookkeeper to handle core transaction processing and administrative record-keeping on an as-needed basis. This position focuses on day-to-day invoice processing, data entry, and documentation management during busy periods or specific project cycles.

• Enter and process accounts payable invoices and log vendor payments
• Prepare customer invoices, process incoming receipts, and record payments
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
• Assist with inventory transaction entries, count adjustments, and record updates
• Gather data and documentation for sales tax filings and compliance needs
• Research and resolve vendor or customer account discrepancies efficiently
• Perform routine data entry, ledger maintenance, and administrative tasks as assigned
• Maintain sku pricing and BOM database
• Reconcile bank and credit cards statements

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or data entry experience (contract or freelance experience a plus)
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 50 preferred; Sage 100 or similar ERP systems a plus)
• Basic understanding of transaction processing and general ledger data entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, sorting, and filtering)
• Ability to work independently, manage project deadlines, and adapt quickly to established processes
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based company
• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation standards
