Role Description The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Gainesville, GA, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on grading and site development projects. This position coordinates crews, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to meet project schedules and quality standards, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures. The Superintendent reviews plans, specifications, and work scopes, assigns tasks, monitors progress, and resolves issues that arise on the jobsite. The role includes conducting daily safety meetings, inspecting work for quality and completeness, communicating with project managers and clients on status and needs, and maintaining accurate documentation such as reports, logs, and time records. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader, fostering a collaborative work environment and guiding team members to achieve project goals efficiently and safely.

• Candidates should possess strong field leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising construction or grading crews and coordinating on-site activities.
• Candidates should possess project planning and organization skills, including the ability to read and interpret plans, manage schedules, allocate resources, and track progress.
• Candidates should possess safety and compliance skills, with knowledge of OSHA standards, jobsite safety practices, and a track record of enforcing safety protocols.
• Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• Candidates should possess technical construction skills related to grading and site work, such as familiarity with heavy equipment operations, basic surveying/layout, and quality control for earthwork.
• Relevant qualifications include prior experience as a Superintendent, Foreperson, or similar role in civil construction or grading; a valid driver’s license; and proficiency with basic digital tools for reporting and documentation.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include bilingual communication ability, experience with local Gainesville, GA permitting or inspection processes, and training or certifications in construction management or safety (e.g., OSHA 10/30).
