Accounts Receivable Specialist (Medical)

Atlanta Heart Associate is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work to resolve unpaid insurance claims, file appeals on behalf of the facility and patients.

• Review claims for accuracy
• Addressing Clearinghouse rejections and works to completion
• Files secondary insurance claims and sees through to payment
• Write appeals to prove medical necessity with clinical information provided
• Contacting insurance companies for follow up of submissions and status of reviews or appeal
• Faxing and/or mailing medical records to the requesting insurance company
• Other duties may be assigned

• Language Ability – Ability to read and interpret documents such as clinical documentation and insurance correspondence
• Reasoning Ability – Ability to understand what type of submission is required and identifies discrepancies related to billing
• Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, the individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software, and database software
• Experience – Minimum of 2 years in this type of work
• Experience using EPIC is preferred.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
