Commercial Real Estate Controller - Atlanta - Remote

An established commercial real estate ownership and development company (Metro Atlanta, GA – fully remote) is hiring a hands-on Controller. Its portfolio includes grocery-anchored retail centers, restaurants, and mixed-use properties. The company is planning for succession in its accounting team, so this is a long-term opportunity.

You'll own full-cycle accounting across the properties, the ownership entities and partnerships, and an affiliated development company. That covers month-end close, financial reporting, owner and investor packages, partnership allocations, waterfall calculations and distributions, CAM reconciliations, and development and intercompany accounting. You'll work directly with ownership.

This role suits someone who likes doing the detailed work themselves, not only reviewing others' work. A CPA and a public accounting background are a plus.

Must-haves:

12+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate

Partnership accounting, owner and investor reporting, and waterfall calculations

MRI and/or Yardi, plus advanced Excel

Strong GAAP knowledge, full-cycle accounting, and month-end close

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

$150,000–$190,000. Full-time, remote.
