Some firms talk about client relationships. This one has clients who have stayed for decades, and a team that builds the same kind of loyalty with each other. As Tax Manager, clients will come to you for answers and staff will come to you for coaching, at a regional firm that has grown without losing who it is.
What it's like to work here
This is a mid-sized regional public accounting firm. It provides tax, accounting, audit and advisory services to individuals, families and businesses. The work is technical and always changing, but the approach is steady: know your clients, understand their goals, and help them make big financial decisions with clarity and peace of mind.
The team brings different backgrounds and strengths, and shares a commitment to clients and to each other. People here collaborate, share what they know and help each other grow. Success is measured by the relationships you build as well as the numbers. You'll work in the office alongside the team, with some flexibility once you're through training. There are social events every quarter.
Where this goes
In your first year you'll run tax engagements from planning through review. You'll become the go-to technical resource for the staff and seniors you coach, and you'll sit across the table from clients as their advisor. You'll also help the firm grow: deepening client relationships, spotting new services clients need, and building connections with prospects, referral sources and community organizations. All the while, you'll keep building your own technical and leadership skills.
